Andrea McGuire, RN

Ms. McGuire was born in Holdrege, NE into a military family. Her mother is a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel, who served a deployment in Operation Desert Storm; and her brother, prior Army Captain, served deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea. He is currently pursuing his MBA at Cornell University.

Andrea spent her childhood in Swansea, IL, graduating from Belleville East High School in 2003 and joined the Missouri Air National Guard 131 Fighter Wing in 2005 at the age of 19. In 2008, she was deployed to the Middle East where she served in Iraqi Enduring Freedom. In 2011, she transferred to the 146 Airlift Wing in California. She has over 7 years of honorable service and currently holds the rank of Staff Sergeant while she awaits commission as a 2nd Lt.

She earned an Associate’s degree in Restaurant, Hotel, and Fitness Management from the Community College of the Air Force in 2008 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing in 2011. Andrea moved to Santa Barbara, CA in 2011 for the beauty of the city and a warmer climate. She is currently employed as an RN in Santa Barbara. Andrea enjoys being in the great outdoors and loves hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, boating, traveling, and is a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Andrea has always been involved in her community and strives to help those in need whenever possible. She has dedicated her time to many charitable organizations including:
