Sheri Johnson

Direct Support Professional

Ms. Johnson was born in Germany as her father was in the United States Army and stationed there at the time of her birth. She grew up in Fulda, MN, just outside of Minneapolis. Sheri is one of five children and enjoys the camaraderie that comes with being part of a big family.

Sheri has spent most of her adult life working in Public Relations and raising four children. At present, she works with mentally and emotionally disabled adults while pursuing a Psychology degree full-time. Ms. Johnson has four children: three daughters and one son. She enjoys her family, dogs, the outdoors, and football!

Sheri's son, Trever, lost his battle with combat PTSD in June of 2012, dying by suicide. She is channeling her grief by furthering her work with dogs. She has expanded her love for dogs into training service dogs for veterans.

Community Service
Sheri has worked with the Humane Society and local dog rescue shelters for a number of years both formally and as a volunteer. As a Board Member at Operation: I.V., Inc., she is excited about the opportunity to help solve the horrific PTSD suicide problem plaguing our troops, their families, and our country.
